A form of clay pigeon shooting, sporting clay is often described by enthusiasts as “golf with a shotgun,” this being because a standard course usually consists of 10 to 15 shooting stations laid out over natural terrain. It should be noted that unlike trap and skeet, which focus on repeatable target presentations, sporting clays offer shooters a different challenge, similar in nature to that of game bird shooting. As no two courses are the same, Canterbury sporting clay shooters will benefit from the presence of another course to increase variety in their chosen activity.
